Blue Soul

First Air Date

Joyann Parker was raised singing in church, became a rocker along the way, has done her share of country music, but came home to her consuming passion for the blues only 4 or 5 years ago, and the world is so much richer for it. She represented Minnesota at the 2015 International Blues Competition in Memphis and was nominated in the Costello Rising Star category of the 2018 Blues Blast Magazine awards. Also follow her on Facebook.

Lena Elizabeth Got It Right!

First Air Date

Lena Elizabeth writes and sings music straight from the heart, using her songs to transform experiences like depression, crippling anxiety, & an eating disorder into health and wholeness. While clearly growing from folk-music infused ground, she has a blues-rooted voice, and the combination of these & other influences is magical. Check out her transformation of the Everly Brothers' song, Bye, Bye, Love, so that it sounds like the lyrics, with Sarah Morris and her Toilet Tunes.
